22, A Million is not only the best Bon Iver album, it’s one of the best albums of the 2010s. We’ll celebrate its tenth anniversary — to the day! — by basking in its enigmatic brilliance.
First up, a choir comprising Nona Invie, Hilary James, Geoffrey Wilson, and Margot Bassett Silver will sing new arrangements of a few 22AM songs. Then, writer Andrea Swensson will share stories and artifacts from the album’s release and the intervening years. We’ll close the party by listening to a test pressing of the album on vinyl.
Tattoo artist Heather C. Lou will be tattooing Eric Timothy Carlson’s Grammy-nominated glyphs on interested attendees throughout the night. Tattoo rates and sign-up details to come.
