The Steve Kenny Quintet will premiere a series of new original compositions we are calling “Blue Chunks.” It's a bunch of shorter original works strung together as suites...a charcuterie of jazz situations. The first sketches of three of the “chunks” were performed to kick off the 2024 Twin Cities Jazz Festival. The Saturday, November 16, 2024 Berlin performance is when the entirety of the set of works will be revealed. This performance is a precursor to the ensemble entering the studio to record these works for an upcoming release in early 2025. Get your tickets now.
