Green Line’s debut EP, Countertop Jam Session, features a litany of jazz and funk tunes: one written by each member of the group. Green Line will perform their new EP in full and speckle in other originals and arrangements of some of their favorite songs.
Green Line is a five-piece jazz/funk band based in Minneapolis. Aidan Firchow, Colin Fitzsimmons, Matt Healy, Nathan Klaers, and Trevor Loewe met at the University of Minnesota in a jazz combo under the direction of Phil Hey. Since then, they have been writing music and playing around the Twin Cities in clubs, museums, backyards, and basements alike. Green Line plays a combination of original music and arrangements that bring a dynamic, funky sound to tunes rooted in and inspired by the jazz tradition.
