The Joel Shapira Quartet will celebrate the release of their album Sleepless Montage—a world-class recording of nine of Shapira’s original compositions—with Shapira on guitar, Pete Whitman on saxophone, Tom Lewis on double bass, and Dave Schmalenberger on drums.
Guitarist Joel Shapira is a nationally acclaimed musician residing in Minnesota. He is a leader and/or member of multiple top Twin Cities jazz ensembles, and he is a master of the demanding discipline of solo guitar. He performs regularly with world-class musicians, has numerous recordings to his credit, and is featured on the New York City record label Unseen Rain Records.
