Singer/composer Nona Invie will release their album Self-soothing on Feb. 28 and will celebrate with two album release shows at Berlin. This show will feature a 60-minute performance of the album with accompaniment from saxophonist Mary Hanson Scott and multi-instrumentalist Mariel Oliveira (IE). Scott will also perform an opening set. The other show, on Friday, Feb. 28, will feature a choir comprising Channy Leaneagh, Aby Wolf, and Nadia Hulett and will be followed by a Late Night Lounge set by DJ Enyahouse.

Nona Invie is a singer/composer based in Minneapolis who has worked with a range of musical projects, including folk/Americana band Dark Dark Dark, electronic trio RONiiA, and the choral ensemble Anonymous Choir. Their solo work layers acoustic piano with synth instruments, creating an ethereal landscape to get lost in.

Mary Hanson Scott (she/they) is a saxophonist, composer, and educator. She has performed at Drone Not Drones in Minneapolis, International Noise Conference in Miami, and Big Ears Festival in Knoxville (with Green Ribbon), as well as many galleries, living rooms, basements, plant stores, and churches across the country. She has toured solo and with frequent collaborators Ruth Mascelli (Special Interest/Disciples) and Will Hicks (Green Ribbon). In 2019, Mary completed a Fulbright grant in Brazil, where she taught language and sound classes, exploring the connections between sound and the environment. This led to teaching field recording and sound art workshops at spaces such as the Beaubourg School and the New Orleans Museum of Art. In May 2024, Mary earned a Deep Listening Certificate from the Pauline Oliveros Deep Listening Institute. Her work is dedicated to the art of listening and the interplay between sound, the body, the earth, and the cosmos.
