Jam E.Z. takes Groovement on the road with DESTINATION: Berlin! Opening with a smooth ‘70s R&B groove, his set will expand into eclectic sounds ranging from classic vocalists to acid jazz, Brazilectro, chill house, and contemporary artists. Dinah Washington, Bebel Gilberto, Brand New Heavies, Tank & the Bangas, and Robert Glasper may be heard.
Vinyl fanatic DJ Jam E.Z. (Jamez L. Smith) has been spinning records for over 40 years. He is the host of the ‘80s New Wave–influenced program Same As It Ever Was! and the more soulful Groovement on KRSM 98.9 FM (www.krsmradio.org)—Mondays and Wednesdays, respectively, at 7 p.m. CST.
