NO COVER 7:00pm Show
For the fourth and final installment of Adam Linz’s November residency at Berlin, enjoy a rare performance by Le Percheron. This new but old quintet has steadily risen in the ranks of Twin Cities jazz. Formed in 2015 as an answer to the question, “Where do we go from here,” Le Percheron carves out a space rarely heard in our corner of the world. Expect new compositions and textures while bathing in the classic sounds of Don Cherry, Ornette Coleman, and Albert Ayler.
Adam Linz is a well-known bass player in the Twin Cities jazz scene. He co-leads the internationally award-winning group Fat Kid Wednesdays with childhood friends Mike Lewis and JT Bates; the group has toured extensively throughout Europe and North America. Adam has taught at Macalester College, Augsburg College, Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth, and EDAM Music outreach in Paris, and he has given clinics in Chile, Argentina, Seattle, New York, Houston, Germany, and Switzerland. Adam has performed with such jazz greats as Evan Parker, Stanley Turrentine, Milt Jackson, and the electronic artist Dosh.
