Starting in December, producer Medium Zach takes over the last Monday of every month at Berlin, inviting a collaborator to improvise and play. December’s guest will be Mankwe Ndosi, a vocalist and composer based in Minneapolis, MN.
Medium Zach, aka Zach Bagaason, is a producer, artist, and studio engineer based in Minneapolis. He is half of the seminal hip-hop duo Big Quarters along with his brother, Brandon Bagaason. Zach’s production, recording, and engineering work has graced releases from artists such as Mankwe Ndosi, I Self Devine, 26 Bats!, and Lady Midnight. Zach has released two solo projects: Beatstory (2016) and Bad by Myself (2021).
Mankwe Ndosi is a Song Catcher/Culture Worker of sound and soil. Her work is aimed at supporting the interconnection and liberation of our structures, practices, and mythologies.
